Polish Flag – Return to Prominence?

PSMA VII Information & Promotion Meeting took place on 15th February in Gdynia  Pomeranian Science and Technology Park . The main topic was “Polish Flag – Return to Prominence?”. Representatives  of shipowners and maritime business, professors, lawyers and journalists participated in the meeting.

PSMA Activities was presented by Management Board Members: Irek Kuligowski (President of the Management Board) Slawomir Kalicki (Inter Marine sp. z o.o.) and Piotr Masny (Seatrans Ship Management Poland sp. z o.o.). with assistance from Radoslaw Stefaniak. PSMA members managed about 210 ocean-going and offshore vessels with over 2,4 mln DWT. PSMA is very activitve in the field of promoting ship management activities in Poland and abroad – Irek Kuligowski stressed.

Information about upcoming regulations and practical solutions of the Maltese Flag was presented by Godwin Xerri,  Managing Director – Combined Maritime Services Ltd. (Company Service Provider authorized by Malta Financial Authority). Dr Katarzyna Skrzeszewska (Maritime Academy Gdynia) presented the main findings of the report “Role of the Polish Maritime Sector in the economic development of Poland & Europe”. Proposals how to resolve the problem of the Polish Flag to be restored in the Polish Marchent Fleet was presented by Capt.
